The View band members battle in on-stage brawl mid gig | Music | Entertainment

The View are making their comeback to stages around the UK after an elongated hiatus from 2017 to 2022.

The Scottish band are known for some massive hits including Same Jeans, Face for the Radio and Feels Like.

But the rockers’ frontman, Kyle Falconer, delivered a different kind of hit this week when the band played The Deaf Institute in Manchester.

In a video shot by fans – which you can watch here – Falconer can be seen lunging towards the band’s bassist, Kieren Webster – who was celebrating his 37th birthday – while yelling: “I’ll f****ng kill you.”

Express.co.uk has contacted representatives of The View for comment on this story.

The band reportedly left the stage swiftly after Falconer and Webster were separated by security.

Falconer then returned to the stage for an encore on his own, where he played the band’s hit Face for the Radio.

The video showed the singer then taking to the microphone to slam his bandmate once again: “Sorry, if you want, Kieren can come and finish the setlist. The problem is, with this band, is that he wants to sing the songs and he can’t, right.” (sic)

The band have since released a statement postponing their next gig, tonight, May 11, 2023, in London.

The statement added they are looking to “resolve the situation”.

The Twitter account, @TheWindowCo, who posted the videos of The View performing, was then quizzed over how much the band played.

The account replied: “Half a set!” with a sad emoji.

Some fans sounded off on Twitter about the debacle, with one writing: “When you’ve waited for the comeback gig for years and then halfway through the lead singer batters the bassist! Rock N Roll.” (sic)

Another commentated: “They’d just finished Skag Trendy and then Kyle pushed Kieren in the back. He then threw the bass down and started walloping him. All a bit bizarre.” (sic)

More fans began mentioning refunds on Twitter, with one saying: “Refunds for all at the gig tonight?” (sic)

Another asked: “Any making up done or will it be your refunds all round?” (sic)
