Top Gun 3 ‘very exciting’ teases Tom Cruise’s Maverick co-star Glen Powell | Films | Entertainment

Announced last week, Tom Cruise’s Top Gun 3 is now in the works following the 2022 blockbuster’s critical acclaim and $1.4 billion box office.

The plan is to reunite Cruise and his Top Gun: Maverick co-stars Miles Teller and Glen Powell as their characters Rooster and Hangman.

And now the latter star has spoken out on the upcoming sequel in a new interview.

Powell told Variety: “People looked at me like I knew what was going on. There is going to be some fun stuff being announced soon… but it was confidential to me. 

“I talk to [director Joseph] Kosinski, Cruise and [producer] Jerry [Bruckheimer] all the time. There is stuff happening and it sounds very exciting. I don’t know when I’ll be going back… I’m sure there is a jet waiting for me sometime in the future.”
