An ominous “national security threat” under discussion by lawmakers pertains to Russians attempting to put a nuclear weapon into space, two sources familiar with talks on Capitol Hill have said.
This is not to drop a nuclear weapon onto Earth but rather to possibly be used against satellites.

Earlier on Wednesday, House Intelligence Committee Chair Mike Turner made information regarding an unnamed threat available for Congress to review and called on Biden to declassify “all information” related to it.
Turner sent Congress a letter urging them to act on the matter which he said pertains to “a destabilizing foreign military capability.”

Addressing his meeting with lawmakers on Thursday, Sullivan said “I reached out earlier this week to the Gang of Eight” – referring to the leaders of both parties in both chambers of Congress and the ranking intelligence members – “to offer myself up for a personal briefing…and in fact we scheduled a briefing for the four House members of the Gang of Eight tomorrow.”
“So I am a bit surprised that Congressman Turner came out today,” he added.
