Zara Tindall turns heads in £800 coat and matching colours with Mike Tindall

Zara and Mike Tindall seem to not only show their love and union through their body language, but through their clothes too. Yesterday, the pair attended the Cheltenham Festival in matching burgundy, while today they are both in blue. Celebrity stylist and fashion expert Miranda Holder agreed that their outfits helped their affection towards one another shine through. She told Express.co.uk that the couple “looked very much in love” and “appeared to be the epitome of marital harmony”.

Miranda continued: “Coordinated dressing is a royal style trick that has been tried and trusted for decades for several reasons.

“Firstly, it looks nice and is pleasing to the eye when they present themselves as a couple. Secondly, it looks really good in photographs and the royals are some of the most photographed people in the world.

“It also subconsciously portrays a united front, indicating that the couple are very much just that – a couple – and want the world to know just how close they are.

“And, finally, it helps to cement their personal brand in the eyes of the public. They look finished, styled and considered – and the result is both polished and professional.”

Zara looked elegant in a turquoise coat with an open collar and a loose belt, which she had tied around her waist. It seemed she was wearing a blue, turtleneck dress underneath.

She completed the look with a pair of heeled, knee-high suede boots, in black. Mike matched his wife’s outfit with a grey suit and a blue tie. His blue tie featured a subtle diamond print, which wasn’t too dissmilar to Zara’s printed coat.

The royal’s wool coat was a light turquoise, adorned with a navy blue houndstooth print. Called the Dustin houndstooth belted coat by Rebecca Vallance, it is still available to buy on fashion website Farfetch for £800, down from £1,142.

She also wore a matching blue fascinator, which brought out her blue eyes. Zara accessorised with a pair of gold hoop earrings and a black and gold bag.

Her slim-fitting trousers were also navy blue, and by London-based designer The Fold.

She completed her look with a pair of navy blue court shoes and large burgundy earrings.

The earrings were interesting as they looked a little like blackberries.

Mike, meanwhile, wore a navy blue suit with a burgundy tie.
