The royal ladies are renowned for wearing tiaras, which is not surprising given that they are among the most expensive items of jewellery in the world. The tiara that Zara Tindall, the daughter of Princess Anne, wore on July 30, 2011 to marry Mike Tindall is among the most stunning.
The fine jewellery and diamond specialists at the UK label Steven Stone have focused on Zara’s ancestral tiara in honour of her birthday today.
At Edinburgh’s Canongate Kirk, Zara and Mike got married in the summer of 2011. She arrived for the ceremony in the company of her father, Captain Mark Phillips.
Zara wore vintage royal jewellery beneath her tulle veil, which her mother, Princess Anne, had lent her.
She fastened her veil with Princess Andrew’s Meander Bandeau, a diamond tiara that was formerly owned by Princess Alice of Battenberg, Prince Philip’s mother.

Neoclassical themes such as meander patterns, anthemions, and a main laurel wreath element are featured in the elegant, traditional diamond bandeau.
The style indicates it was made in the early 20th century. Princess Alice first appeared in pictures wearing the item in about 1914.
Zack Stone, the Leading Diamond Expert at Steven Stone told Express.co.uk: “When it comes to Zara Tindall’s jewellery, it’s usually her solitaire diamond engagement ring that we’re talking about.
“To celebrate her birthday, we’ve turned our attention to the heirloom tiara that she wore on her big day back in 2011.
Zara and Mike tied the knot in 2011 and now have three children, Mia, nine, Lena, four, and Lucas, two.
The family live on Princess Anne’s Gloucestershire estate, Gatcombe Park, in a home called Aston Farm.
The couple is hugely down to earth, with Zara and Mike being photographed out at 2am the night before the Coronation.
They later attended the Coronation Concert where they were filmed dancing along to Lionel Richie’s “All Night Long”.
