Some of the biggest stars in music have hit the red carpet for MTV Video Music Awards – and there are some sensational outfits on show.
One of the biggest nights of the year for music is upon us as the VMAs celebrate 50 years of hip-hop and honor the past year’s best music videos.
Heavy hitters like Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Demi Lovato and Doja Cat are all set to perform, while Taylor Swift is in with a chance of becoming the most decorated person in VMA history.
Nicki Minaj is also back as host for the star-studded event at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, which has been filling up with massive names.
On the red carpet, Selena Gomez turned heads in her show-stopping red dress, while Jared Leto had dark eye makeup and a metal choker.
One of the first to arrive was Doja Cat, who kept up her usual look by leaving very little to the imagination.
The rapper wore a barely-there, white Apocene dress that looked a lot like spider webs.
She had nude underwear hidden underneath that barely covered her nipples, a pair of see-through heels and large diamond drop earrings.
Elsewhere, Olivia Rodrigo oozed class in her dazzling low-cut silver column dress with shoulder straps.
Olivia wore her long, dark hair down straight and matched her signature look with dark nails.
One of the other stand-out arrivals was Megan Thee Stallion, who wore a custom-made black sheer skintight dress with a silver chocker and matching barcelet.
It’s a big night for Megan, who is appearing at her first award show since the sentencing of Tory Lanez for shooting her in 2020.
Elsewhere, Demi Lovato went for a dark oversized jacket with dramatic shoulder pads, wearing a black mini-dress underneath.
Cardi B also caught attention with her unusual dress, which was made entirely out of hair clips.
The custom dress was a floor-length variation of the mini dress from her FW23 collection.
While Bebe Rexha had some large holes in her black leather trousers.
Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion performed their divisive new single Bongos.
While Demi Lovato, Olivia Rodrigo, Doja Cat, Fall Out Boy, Karol G, Kelsea Ballerini, Måneskin, Reneé Rapp, Shakira, Sabrina Carpenter and Future also made appearances.
