Robbie Williams forced to stop concert due to health issues | Music | Entertainment

Robbie Williams still jumps at the chance to put on an energetic show whenever he can, and this weekend was no different.

He attended the Pinkpop festival in the Netherlands where he headlined the South Stage on Saturday, June 17, 2023.

The former Take That singer played a massive 19-track setlist, but disaster struck as he was about to launch into his fourth song of the evening, Monsoon.

Just a few bars into the track, Robbie was forced to bring his concert to a halt. He signalled for his band to cease playing and bent over in exasperation.

“No, stop stop,” he yelled. “I’m f**ked. I’m f**ked.”

Robbie’s fans were no doubt looking on in fear as the star was breathing heavily and regaining his composure.

But he explained this was all down to a health issue he was already aware of.

“It’s long Covid,” he said. “I’ve got long Covid. It’s not my f**king age, you f**kers!”

Robbie admitted he had suffered from COVID-19 twice over the past few years.

He first received it in April 2020 when he was at home with his family in Los Angeles.

The 49-year-old then contracted the illness for a second time in January 2021 while he was on holiday on the Caribbean island St Barts. He was with his wife, Ayda, and their four children at the time.

Robbie said at the time: “The mental struggle has been the hardest bit about isolation, making sure we don’t slip into our own dark holes.”

After taking a breather and bantering with the crowd for a short while, Robbie went on to continue his set.

He then proceeded to play a further 16 tracks for the festival.
