Body positivity activist shows off her new bikini – ‘I feel hot as f***’

A clip of a body positivity advocate asking trolls to “keep scrolling” before showcasing a newly purchased bikini from different angles in a car park has gone viral.

The TikTok video shows activist @chunkymak addressing followers before she strikes several poses to showcase the two-piece from different angles.

“Don’t want to see a confident, beautiful, fat woman in a bikini? keep scrolling,” she asks at the start of the clip. “Okay, now that they’re gone. This is the bikini that I got from Target and I look gorgeous. I feel hot as f***.”

The comment section of the clip, which racked up more than 41,000 likes, was flooded with positive comments, with some users comparing the woman to a “Greek goddess”.

One commentator enthusiastically wrote: “You GO GIRLLLLL”, while another said: “You are glowing in those colors.”

Many viewers complimented the content creator’s confidence, with one writing: “Yes girl own your body and be confident in your body.”

“I wish I was as confident in my body as you [are] in yours. I love you keep it up,” said another.

A third user responded to these comments: “Saying ‘love the confidence isn’t a compliment!’ You can remind her she’s beautiful but leave it at that – U rock that Mak.”

The clip adds to a long string of videos celebrating the body positivity trend on TikTok, which helps women remember they’re not defined by their weight.

The movement blew up on the video-sharing platform in 2020, after thousands of women began showcasing their bodies in different lighting and comparing their physiques to their weight.

So far, the trend has received a huge amount of praise online, with countless viewers identifying themselves in the body types represented.
