How to look younger instantly with simple style tip

Women have many options when it comes to looking younger. From a brand new hair aesthetic to a revamped skincare routine, there’s plenty to do by way of turning back the clock.

Some women even go for invasive surgeries such as facelifts, or more minor treatments or “tweakments” such as Botox or filler.

But one expert suggests that a wardrobe revamp might be the way forward for many women.

Deirdre, founder of 50 & Fabulous with My Friend Deirdre, spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk about how mature women can look younger instantly by making one simple style change.

Jeans are a universal wardrobe staple but according to the style influencer, some of us are wearing them totally wrong.

Deirdre ordered women over 50: “Stop wearing the same, old, worn-out jeans.”

She offered a very simple tip for older ladies on how they can look younger and more stylish in one step.

The influencer stated: “One of the quickest ways to instantly look younger and more modern is to update the style of your jeans.

“If you don’t wear denim, get started! It’s contemporary and fresh – as long as you choose one of the more up to date styles.”

Baggy or skinny jeans might be your current favourites but Deirdre suggested swapping these for a different variety.

She advised: “One of the most universally flattering styles that suits many body shapes are bootcut or slightly flared jeans.

“They are amazing on ladies who are height challenged (like me!) as well as looking statuesque on taller ladies. They give us an hourglass effect and are very current and on-trend now.”

Deirdre also spoke to Express.co.uk about the style mistake women over 50 must “stop” making or risk looking old.

The influencer suggested that there are a few colours older women shouldn’t wear next to their faces, as they can be “harsh”.
