Ivanka Trump wears ‘fabulous’ rainbow dress for royal wedding in Jordan

For the royal wedding, Ivanka wore two beautiful dresses, an elegant pastel blue dress from designer Alex Perry and the Jenny Packham Sunbird Striped Chiffon Gown.

As Ivanka’s husband Jared wore a tuxedo, fans speculated that the couple did not attend the religious ceremony but were invited to the reception and banquet later in the day as part of the Jordan wedding celebrations.

For the evening reception, Ivanka chose a rainbow cape-sleeve silk gown from royal favourite designer Jenny Packham which retails for £5,025.

The multicolour crystal embellished dress featured a V-neck and V-back, a cape design, pleat detailing and a silver belt which hugged her slim waistline.

For jewellery, Ivanka opted for a discreet pair of silver drop earrings letting her pastel-printed dress do the talking.

Fans took to social media to discuss Ivanka’s style and were divided over the rainbow dress. While most users thought she looked stunning and loved the “sorbet-like colours”, others suggested it was not an appropriate choice for a religious wedding in Jordan.

On Instagram, @aloysius.thewhippet said: “From one stunning evening dress to another. I love this dress on Ivanka! This gives me so much glamorous 70s vibes and she can totally pull this look off like no other.”

Another one, @kaitmancini03, commented: “I don’t typically like rainbow-coloured things but I love this.”

Royal fan @forkatemiddleton opined: “I love Ivanka’s elegant and chic style,” and @momand4kiddos commented: “You look stunning and that dress is to die for.”

Instagram user @rotesposito said Ivanka looked “fabulous” at the royal wedding and @wendeesaunders added: “Wow absolutely gorgeous dress.”

@lizzysavetsky commented on the social media platform: “Wow wow wow so stunningly gorgeous. Love this dress!”

Others were not fans of the printed dress with @ducktricia suggesting: “Even though it’s a gorgeous dress I’ll give it a ‘No’ because I don’t think it fits the occasion and context at all.”

Another one opined: “It would be perfect for attending a Cannes function, though. But a royal wedding ceremony in Jordan? No.”

“Not a fan of this dress. Way too many colours,” @rose_mcguire91 added.

Prince Al-Hussein, Queen Rania of Jordan’s son, and architect Rajwa Al Saif tied the knot at the Zahran Palace, in Jordan, surrounded by 140 guests, including their closest friends, family and members of Royal Families from around the world as well as heads of state and other public figures.
