Keanu Reeves’ band Dogstar announce UK/EU tour: “We never chased being like anybody else” | Music | Entertainment

Hollywood heart-throb actor Keanu Reeves and his band Dogstar will be touring Europe and the UK this summer. The band will play a total of 13 headline shows starting from May 30 – June 30.

To most people, Keanu Reeves is best known for his acting in movies such as the 90s classic thriller Speed, the John Wick franchise, and the much-loved Bill and Ted film trilogy. But Keanu has been playing in Dogstar since the mid-1990s, and the group have gradually amassed an impressive cult following.

When talking to Variety with the band last year, Keanu explained “Dogstar never chased a sound; we never chased being like anybody else.”

The actor plays bass in the alternative rock group, alongside singer Bret Domrose and drummer Rob Mailhouse. As well as the 11 tour dates around Europe, Dogstar will play Manchester New Century Hall on June 18th and London’s Electric Ballroom on June 19th.

The band are also set to play some big festivals this year, including Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Rock For People in the Czech Republic, and Rock Im Park in Germany.

After a 23-year hiatus, fans were delighted when Dogstar released their album ‘Somewhere Between the Powerlines and Palm Trees last October.
