The rumours were true: Kylie Minogue has just announced a residency slot at Las Vegas’ The Venetian Resort.
The shows are slated to begin in early November this year, with tickets coming out in the next couple of weeks.
The Padam Padam singer no doubt deserves this prestigious slot, especially considering she is the only female artist to grab a number one album in five consecutive decades in the UK.
She’s also sold an incredible 80 million records worldwide, as well as 5 billion streams.
Kylie announced her residency slot at an event over the weekend in Los Angeles. She said: “Today is the day where it all becomes, beautifully real. So to finally be able to say, yes, I am doing a show in Vegas and to be at Voltaire at the Venetian Resort, it’s just, it’s such a good match. And, yeah, I couldn’t be more excited.”
The secretive stage production is said to be a “modern-day art deco fantasy”, coming from the mind of Emmy and Tony Award-winning production designer Derek McClane. He previously worked on Moulin Rouge! the Oscars and the Met Gala.
Tickets for the Las Vegas shows are not going to be cheap – but they will certainly be spectacular. Here’s what you need to know ahead of their release:

At the moment, information is scarce on what kind of tickets will be available, how much they’ll be, and where fans will be able to buy them.
But, at the moment, you can sign up for more information by subscribing to the official Voltaire email list.
Some outlets are reporting that further information on tickets and packaging will be revealed on August 7, 2023.

Kylie Minogue’s residency announcement follows the global success she has enjoyed in recent months with her hit single Padam Padam. The song hit number one and earned millions of streams online.
It came directly from her upcoming 16th studio album Tension, which is due to hit streaming services and store shelves on September 22, 2023.

Kylie recently spoke to Hello Magazine where she explained why now is the perfect time for her to take on a residency slot.
She said: “I think if I had done this earlier in my career it might have been too early. If I’d done it too much later I’d regret it being too much later.
“Right now, in my life, in my career, it feels like the perfect point, the perfect moment where, I’ve got the catalogue, I’ve got the history, but I’ve also got the drive and the ambition to go so much further.”
