Former President Trump and his co-defendants are seeking permission to appeal Judge Scott McAfee’s ruling in the Fulton County case after he denied their request for dismissal and disqualification of District Attorney Fani Willis. McAfee ordered special prosecutor Nathan Wade to resign from the case, warning that if he didn’t, Willis would be removed from prosecuting Trump. Wade complied with the judge’s directive.

The motion was filed on behalf of Trump and several co-defendants, including Rudy Giuliani, Mark Meadows, Robert Cheeley, and others. They are requesting the opportunity to appeal McAfee’s decision, citing concerns about Willis’ conduct and the need for her disqualification based on the case law.

In response to McAfee dismissing six counts in the Georgia election interference case against Trump and his co-defendants, the judge stated that the state failed to provide sufficient detail for the charges of solicitation of violation of oath by public officer. The motion argues that the Court of Appeals should provide clarity on this crucial issue.

Furthermore, the allegations of a romantic relationship between Willis and Wade, leading to financial benefits for Willis through Wade’s hiring, have raised questions about ethical conduct in the case. Both parties denied the relationship, but evidence suggests otherwise.

Overall, the legal battle continues, with Trump maintaining his innocence and seeking justice in the face of what some may view as a biased prosecution. Stay informed with Fox News for the latest updates on this ongoing case.
