Matteo Bocelli announces debut solo album and performs new single | Music | Entertainment

Musical talent certainly seems to run Andrea Bocelli’s family.

In recent years the Italian maestro has been touring with his children Virginia and Matteo Bocelli, even releasing a family Christmas album together last December.

His son’s professional singing career began in 2018 when he performed Fall On Me with him and now the 25-year-old is set to go solo.

The rising star today announced the release date of his debut solo album Matteo and revealed his latest single following the likes of Solo and Close.

Posting on his Instagram, the young singer shared: “I’ve been waiting for so long to release new music and now it’s time to give you a little spoiler.”

Matteo revealed: “My next single is For You and here it is.”

Bocelli junior then played a segment from the track ahead of its release on June 9 at 5am BST.

In another video below he sang the new song live before the latest post which finally announced his debut album’s release date.

In today’s post, Matteo shared his 2022 record’s cover and wrote: “I can’t believe I finally get to say this:

“My new album, Matteo, is out September 22nd! Pre-order at matteobocelli.it or pre-save it right now.

“Thanks so much for your support – I can’t wait for you to hear it.”
