Meghan Markle & Kate Middleton wore matching earring styles compared – one pair cost £7

The ladies in the Royal Family are privy to a beautiful collection of jewels – some of which are hundreds of years old and worth millions of pounds. When they’re not attending state banquets or important events, the female royals like to step out wearing affordable designers or high street brands. Earlier this month, both Meghan Markle and Kate, Princess of Wales chose to wear a similar pair of dangly earrings, but one pair cost only £7.

When attending the Ripple of Hope Awards in New York City, Meghan chose to accessorise her custom-made white Louis Vuitton dress with a pair of gold dangly earrings from Carolina Herrera.

Carolina Herrera is a brand Meghan has worn many times before and it is known for its sophistication and casual elegance.

The jewels were the brand’s Kaleidoscope Earrings, and are gold plated, embellished with zirconite crystals in different shapes.

The earrings are said to retail for £157 or $190.

Just last month, when visiting Scarborough, she completed her outfit with a pair of Accessorize’s Twisted Circle Drop Earrings, which at the time of purchase cost just £5.

In 2019, when Kate paid a visit to the RHS Garden Wisley, she wore a floral Emilia Wickstead dress and a pair of earrings known as the Filigree, which came from Accessorize once again.

Those earrings ended up going on sale for £1.50.
