007 fans are patiently awaiting news on the next James Bond casting. While the official announcement will likely come in the next year or two, the ever-changing Bond odds are the best bet fans of the franchise have to know who is in the running.
Daniel Craig’s successor will likely be a young British male – but that leaves a lot of major Hollywood stars primed and ready to take over as the new and improved Bond, James Bond.
With that said, the current frontrunner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, may be about to lose his edge in the running.
Taylor-Johnson has been at the forefront of the betting for weeks after rumours hit that he had already done some screen-testing for the next James Bond movie behind closed doors.
He is still very much in the lead, with Ladbrokes giving him an immense 15/8, but he has a couple of heavy hitters hot on his heels.

Just behind him is the Happy Valley star James Norton, who has been quietly running up the Bond odds ranking for months.
He now has a staggering 5/2, placing him second place in Ladbrokes’ list of Bond hopefuls.
The British actor himself believes these rumours of him taking over from Craig are nothing more than a rumour, however. He told ITV’s This Morning the 007 consideration is “bizarre and a massive compliment, but it’s pure speculation”.
Just behind him in the running is Henry Cavill, one of the most popular British stars working today.
Cavill has a fantastic pedigree, as well. He has already wowed audiences as Superman and Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher.
As a result, he has a strong 3/1 on becoming the next version of the hero. However, he may have already missed his chance.
Cavill previously went up against Craig in the casting call for Casino Royale. Unfortunately, he was unsuccessful and deemed “too chubby” for the role.
But, this time around, now he’s a little older, he may be the perfect actor for the role.
