Star Wars legend announces return of his iconic character and fans are ecstatic | Films | Entertainment

Now, out of the blue, Best has teased he’s returning to play Jar Jar Binks for the first time in years. Sharing a photo of himself in a motion capture suit on Instagram, the 50-year-old wrote a cryptic message.

It reads: “Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in. #mocap #starwars #jarjarbinks #activision #jedi #sithlord #kelleranbeq.” Fans were ecstatic in the comments but wanted to know more with reactions like, “Return of Jar Jar?!?!?” And “Wait, whaaaaat? Mesa confused!” and “WE WANT MORE JAR JAR BINKS!! We miss you so much as him!”

What’s really interesting is that one of the hashtags Best used was “Sith Lord” implying a long-held fan theory that the character became Darth Jar Jar.

The evidence claimed that the Gungan somehow survived the Battle of Naboo and ended up being a facilitator in Palpatine gaining his emergency powers before becoming the Emperor.

Best also used the hashtag “Activision” implying that he will be reprising Jar Jar Binks for a future Star Wars video game.
