Next James Bond odds slashed on rising stars in race to replace Daniel Craig | Films | Entertainment

Could 2024 finally be the year that Daniel Craig’s James Bond successor is announced?

Fans continue to speculate as Kraven the Hunter star Aaron Taylor-Johnson remains the bookies’ favourite with odds of just 15-8.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Plenty have headed the 007 betting over the years but it’s Aaron Taylor-Johnson who is fast becoming the favourite with Bond fans and punters alike right now.”

Just behind him are Henry Cavill on 7-2 and James Norton on 4-1, while Damson Idris follows on 9-2 and Regé-Jean Page on 5-1.

Meanwhile, there are rising stars whose odds have been slashed as they gain on the frontrunners.

These include Genie’s Paapa Essiedu on 12-1 and Bob Marley star Kingsley Ben-Adir on 18-1.

Take it all with a pinch of salt, but the other odds this week include Tom Hardy on 7-1, Jack Lowden on 12-1, Callum Turner on 14-1 and both Richard Madden and Sope Dirisu on 16-1.

Additionally, there’s Aidan Turner on 18/1 and both Chris Evans and Cillian Murphy on 20/1.
