Next James Bond odds – The bookies’ favourites to replace Daniel Craig as 007 | Films | Entertainment

As 2023 comes to a close, could 2024 be the year of the next James Bond announcement?

Considering the three-year gap between the release of Pierce Brosnan’s Die Another Day (2002) and the casting of Daniel Craig (2005), will it be the same after No Time To Die (2021), which is on ITV1 this evening?

Of course, following on from a Bond who died is going to be a real challenge for whoever takes up the Licence to Kill next.

And according to Ladbrokes, Bridgerton hunk Regé-Jean Page continues to be a favourite with odds of 5-1.

Just ahead of him on 4-1 is Happy Valley’s James Norton, while Snowfall’s Damson Idris is on 9-2.

Henry Cavill, who was runner-up to Daniel Craig in the 2005 Casino Royale auditions, is on 7-2.

However, he may be too famous and too old now (over 40) for the Bond role, and let’s not forget he’s about to play another spy in Argylle.

Meanwhile, the next Bond odds frontrunner continues to be Aaron Taylor-Johnson on 47-25, following rumours of secret meetings with producer Barbara Broccoli.

The bookies’ Bond race should be taken with a pinch of salt, but you never know.

Our best bet would be for a new 007 announcement in late 2024 with an actor, director and title for release in 2025.
