Paul McCartney rumoured to make surprise appearance at Glastonbury today | Music | Entertainment

Glastonbury Festival 2023 has a stacked line-up of artists this year, with the likes of Arctic Monkeys and Guns N Roses already headlining the Pyramid Stage over the past two days.

Included in the line-up is also a number of secret sets, with “The Churnups” actually being the Foo Fighters, and Rick Astley hitting the stage in a Smiths cover band.

But fans of The Beatles may get the ultimate surprise tonight, Sunday, June 26, 2023, with the arrival of Paul McCartney.

The Help! singer headlined the festival last year, but he is not officially part of the line-up this year. Despite this, fans spotted him on TV at Glastonbury over the weekend, and got them thinking.

The Hey Jude singer was seen watching Foo Fighters during their secret set on Friday afternoon, and now fans are convinced he’ll be joining the festival’s final headliner: Elton John.

There has been a lot of debate about Elton’s upcoming headline setlist, which will mark his final-ever performance in the UK.

It was recently revealed he’ll be bringing four major artists onto the stage with him throughout the two-hour event.

Rumours have circulated that the likes of Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Eminem and Harry Styles could join the star to perform his greatest hits.

However, after McCartney was spotted at Glastonbury, fans began tweeting up a storm about how he would be the perfect addition to Elton’s show this evening.

One wrote: “I’m thinking Sir Elton is going to bring our Sir Paul McCartney and Eminem on Sunday by the way.”

Another agreed: “Paul McCartney watching the Foo Fighters secret set at #Glastonbury23 … sticking around to play with Elton John on Sunday? What else are the rumours apart from Britney Spears?”
