Queen Camilla delights smiling Scottish fans in grey pie-crust coat dress

Queen Camilla is totally famous for her coat dresses and over the years they have become a staple part of her royal wardrobe.

For her latest outing in Scotland, the Queen sported a grey coat dress featuring pie-crust sleeves and waist. The warm, structured number was a perfect choice for chilly Scotland.

In keeping with royal protocol, Camilla paired her dress with skin-coloured tights. She donned beige shoes with a low heel.

Camilla’s coat dress takes the form of a blazer and skirt, both in the same shade.

In typical Camilla fashion, the royal wore a fab brooch in the shape of a Tudor Crown pinned to her dress.

Diamond experts at Steven Stone previously spoke to Express.co.uk about Camilla’s Tudor crown brooch. She wore it back in February Clarence House at Clarence House for Camilla’s Reading Room.

Maxwell Stone told Express.co.uk at the time: “In the shape of the Tudor crown, the silver brooch features a band studded with sapphire, ruby and emerald.

”Though it’s difficult to put a price on such a regal piece, I’d estimate Camilla’s brooch to be worth ÂŁ33,000.”

Camilla wore her buttery blonde locks in her signature, flicked out style.

Her voluminous strands covered her ears but she was most likely wearing the pearl and diamond pendant earrings she usually dons for daytime occasions.

The pie-crust sleeves of Camilla’s coat dress covered her wrists but royal fans can probably guess she was sporting her favourite Vintage Alhambra Bracelet with Five Motifs in 18K yellow and gold.

Camilla wore this “lucky” bracelet just yesterday when she visited Dovecot studios in Edinburgh – as well as a floral dress and Kate-esque shoes.

Royal fans were absolutely delighted to shake Camilla’s perfectly manicured hands in Galashiels today. She appeared to have clear or barely-there polish on.

Queen Camilla always goes for subtle nail varnish as opposed to garish or daring colours, and according to the expert this might also have been a preference of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Daena Borrowman, marketing manager at jewellerybox, previously told Express.co.uk: “Royal women have favoured nude shades of nail paint over bright or dark nail paint.

”Sheer whites and light pinks have been long favoured. A firm favourite of the Queen’s is Essie’s ‘Ballet Slippers’.”

Charles looked dapper at the same event in a dark grey three-piece suit a few shades darker than his wife’s coat dress.

He donned a smart red, white and black striped tie, and a lilac boutonniĂšre.
