Tom Holland casts doubt on Spider-Man 4 after writers’ strike delay | Films | Entertainment

Marvel’s Spider-Man was brought to a resounding end during the events of No Way Home back in 2021 when Peter Parker’s memory was erased from existence.

Since then, fans have been speculating over what is going to happen next with the MCU’s version of the wall-crawler – but no details on Spider-Man 4 have been released just yet.

While we know conversations are happening behind the scenes about the next movie, Tom Holland is not 100 percent sure if it will actually happen quite yet.

Considering Holland reportedly does not even have another contract with Marvel or Sony just yet, nothing is set in stone – and therefore, the future is completely up in the air.

Speaking to Inverse, Holland said of Spider-Man 4: “Whether or not it’ll come to fruition, who knows?”

Despite his comment, Holland did hopefully add: “But right now it’s looking pretty good, and we’ll just have to wait and see.”

Considering how much of a cliffhanger No Way Home left Peter, it feels like Holland needs at least one more movie to truly finish off his story.

However, the next step for Holland’s Marvel journey could instead be to bring the next Spider-Man to the big screen – not Peter Parker.

Pascal explained: “Are we going to make another movie? Of course, we are.”

She went on to add there is a delay in the process, however.

“We’re in the process,” she went on. “But the writers’ strike – nobody is working during the strike. We’re all being supporters and whenever they get themselves together, we’ll get started.”
