Olympic diver Tom Daley welcomes second son with husband Dustin Lance Black | Ents & Arts News

Olympic diver Tom Daley has welcomed a second son with American filmmaker husband Dustin Lance Black.

The 28-year-old announced the news on social media, with an image of him and Black cradling their newborn son.

The couple’s four-year-old son Robert – known as Robbie – was also in the shot but had his back to the camera.

“PHOENIX ROSE BLACK-DALEY. Our family has grown in the last week, we welcomed Phoenix to the world on 28/03/23 and he’s just perfect,” Daley wrote in the caption.

“Robbie is loving being a BIG BRO!”

Sharing a similar image, with Robbie kissing the new baby on the head, Black wrote: “And then there were four. Our second son, Phoenix Rose Black-Daley, arrived at 3.34pm on March 28, 2023”.

Words of congratulations for the couple immediately flooded in, including from Daley’s former diving partner, Matty Lee, who he won a gold medal with at the Tokyo Olympics for the synchronised 10m diving event.

“Can’t wait to meet him! Love you all”, he wrote.

The Official Team GB account also said: “Massive congratulations to you and the family!”

While RuPaul’s Drag Race presenter Michelle Visage added: “Congrats to you all.”

The couple, who married in 2017, welcomed their first child Robert Ray in 2018 via surrogate. He was given the same name as Daley’s father, who passed away in 2011 after suffering from a brain tumour.
