Prince Harry’s ‘touching gesture of love’ towards Meghan Markle while in the UK | Royal | News

Last Thursday, Prince Harry attended the final day of his lawsuit against Associated Newspaper at the Royal Courts of Justice in Westminster, London. He wore a grey suit and a luxury shirt which some royal experts believe may have been a “subtle fashion tribute” to his wife, Meghan Markle.

Prince Harry appeared in a Dior ‘Bee shirt’, which is priced at £800 ($1000) which one royal expert believes may have been a “touching gesture of love” towards his wife, Meghan Markle.

Miranda Holder is an acclaimed fashion stylist and expert who has worked with celebrities such as Boy George, Little Mix and actress Vanessa Williams.

On social media, Miranda enjoys sharing her expertise and has pointed out that Dior is a favoured designer brand by the Duchess of Sussex.

Miranda said in a new TikTok video: “The Sussexes are apparently very much in love, apparently brought even closer together by the trials they have faced together.

“So it’s not surprising they should wish to feel near each other in every way possible. Which is perhaps why Harry chose to make this subtle fashion tribute to his wife on his very important day.”

Meghan is known to have a long-standing relationship with Dior, and is has often been photographed in the French fashion house’s dresses in the past.

She most notably owns the well-known her own personal version of the ‘Lady-D Lite’ handbag, which was named after Princess Diana, Meghan’s mother-in-law and has the bag stamped with her own abbreviation ‘DSSOS’ which stands for ‘Duchess of Sussex.

Miranda added: “We know that Meghan adores Dior, having worn the super brand on several different occasions so perhaps for Harry, this was a subtle way of having his wife by his side on his undoubtedly stressful day.”

Another popular royal commentator, Amanda Matta, has also spoken out about Prince Harry’s statement shirt.

In a video for TikTok, Amanda described the Dior shirt as a “very subtle kind of luxury dressing”.

She said: “[It’s] not in-your-face and could just be a white shirt. But if you’re in the know, you know this is high quality and expensive.”

Amanda continued: “It’s giving me menswear luxury and I love that for Harry. He has definitely come a long way from shopping the after-Christmas sales at TK Max that is for sure. You have to wonder, did Meghan give him her fashion contacts?“

However, fashion expert Miranda also pointed out that it was “not unusual” for royal couples to coordinate their outfits to make a statement, and pointed out it was very common for Prince William, Princess Kate and their children to wear “careful colour coordinated outfits” to put on a “united front.”

In the past, both Prince Harry and Meghan have spoken about using their fashion to portray their feelings to the world.

In the Netflix documentary ‘Harry and Meghan’ which premiered in December 2022, Meghan said she specifically chose to wear bold colours during her last week as a working royal while staying in the UK, and also noted in the documentary that she would often wear neutral colours so she would not stand out.

In the documentary, Meghan said: “Until that last week in the UK, I rarely wore colour, I never wanted to upstage or ruffle any feathers. So I just tried to blend in.”

She continued: “But I wore a lot of colours that week… I just felt like, ‘Let’s just look like a rainbow.'”

Prince Harry then added: “We weren’t with the family. It was our opportunity to go out with a bang, to be honest.”
