Princess Charlene dubbed ‘most elegant royal’ in navy sequinned ballgown

Princess Charlene of Monaco stepped out wearing a beautiful navy ballgown for the annual Princess Charlène Foundation of Monaco Christmas Ball. The gala night, which was held in the Salle Belle Epoque of the Hermitage Hotel, had an “Italia Chic” theme, and the auction raised funds in favour of the royal’s foundation.

For the occasion, Princess Charlene wore a Carolina Herrera gown which was embellished with sequins.

It was a sleeveless tulle dress in the colour midnight, designed with a crewneck and an A-line silhouette.

The dress can be purchased from Saks Fifth Avenue, but there are limited sizes available.

It was originally priced at £6,066.62 but is currently on sale for £3,639.97.

Princess Charlene attended the event without her husband, Prince Albert of Monaco.

The Foundation was established on December 14, 2012, and has a goal of saving lives by fighting drowning.

Its missions are to raise public awareness of the dangers of water, to teach children about preventive measures and teach them how to swim.

Princess Charlene’s dress is just one of many stylish choices she has made. In fact, the Monegasque Royal Family has a long and stylish reputation – thanks in no small part to fashion icon Grace Kelly who became Princess Grace of Monaco in 1956.

Former Olympian Princess Charlene as also become known for her dynamic and endlessley chic fashion sense, according to Town and Country magazine.

The royal chooses classic silhouettes, but also has the ability “to metamorphose from glitz to grunge”, Tatler suggests.

Over the years, it has been said the royal has “become a master chameleon, with more style reinventions that Madonna”.

If fact, Princess Charlene is said to be “the perfect example of a modern princesses’ wardrobe”.
