Lady Rose Hanbury dismisses affair rumors with Prince William, denies allegations in upbeat tone. Speculation continues despite her statement.

Lady Rose Hanbury came forward to address rumors that she had an affair with Prince William, husband of Kate Middleton. The 40-year-old mother of three, who married David Cholmondeley in 2009, spoke out over the weekend in response to ongoing speculation about Middleton’s absence from the public eye. Hanbury, through her lawyers, stated that the rumors of an affair with William are “completely false.”

Media outlets reported on the speculation surrounding Middleton’s marriage to William, with many pointing to her extended period of absence from public life. Comedian Stephen Colbert even joked about the rumors during an episode of “The Late Show,” referring to Hanbury by her royal title, the Marchioness of Cholmondeley.

While rumors of an affair between William and Hanbury have been circulating since 2019, Middleton’s representatives clarified that she was still recovering from abdominal surgery and would not be returning to public duties until after Easter. Middleton’s recent Instagram post with her children for Mother’s Day also sparked discussion due to apparent photo alterations and the absence of her iconic engagement ring.
